First off the year 2022 was a very challenging year for us at Tenet Technetronics and a year challenging for the entire man kind.
We are glad amidst the number of personal losses some of the team members have had at the end of the day we are looking forward to moving ahead with full speed with more positive optimism.
We definitely would like to take the time out to wish all of our customers who have helped us to stay afloat as a company . The supply chain for electronics has been the most challenging the last year and while we try to get customers what they buy it has not be easy. Thanks for all of your patience. Now that we seem to be all back on track the situation seems more or less back to where we were before the pandemic.
We would also like to reflect on some of the work that is ahead of us and in the spirit of our mission statement “Simplifying Technology for Life” . Given the lock downs and mostly remote work over the last year we spent some time thinking about what could we impactfully create and offer.
A multitude of ambitious projects have taken birth and is in the works . More exciting products to be announced this year and we have timed them to be announced in succession. So stay tuned.
We are proud to share a glimpse of a model based tool code named “TenetSim” . The tool has been created with Technical engineers in mind having to simulate as well as implement interesting projects with very little effort. We have derived inspiration from Prof Robert Bucher’s open source tool pysimcoder.
TenetSim as the product would be called is soon to be available and guess what this will be offered at a very affordable cost and also a free offering version as well . While the core tool would be free of course we are as usual available for custom consulting work and customizations if you have a specific simulation/code generation for production target hardware project and would be happy to customize and hence some advanced features would be available in the professional edition .
Here are some of the highlights of features that are planned for aggressively being released for 2023 :
- One click launch of the tool and no strict need for command line interaction/coding experience.
- Code generation provided would be MISRA compliant. By the way all blocks planned in version 1 are already MISRA compliant. This should ensure that the code generated from the tool is capable of being used in safety critical system or even serve as a good code to take and reuse.
- Simulation both real time on windows and non real time on windows are supported.
- The tool would be an easy to use interface focused on Windows as against the parent project which is only on Linux .
- Solver support for simulation more than RK4 that is supported now by default.
- Communication blocks are also supported on Windows for TCP/UDP/MQTT/Serial and much more.
- Code generation is targeted to support Julia, Rust as primary addon targets in addition to C code.
- Co-Simulation leveraging FMU . The tool would support both FMI import and Export .
- VHDL code generation is in the works.
- Enhanced solver support
- Target support are purely planned based on customer demand.
- Arduino family (for university and academic usage)
- Automotive ASIL-D microcontroller target support . We are currently looking for customers who would like to help us prioritize. We have started on ST Automotive micros but we are open to look at infineon/renesas/microchip if there is interest.
- ST micro port from original (pysimcoder) on windows.
- Export models to Simulink/FMU/openmodelica/Xcos for Cosimulation/code generation.
We are highly excited to have worked on this project and intend to provide the product soon in an ease to use form. Currently in its pilot phase we have had very good feedback and look forward to soon offer a public commercial release. In case you are one of those customers looking for a tool that can help you in simulations/code generation we would be more than happy to engage and demo the software.
Now all said and done there is a series of models and videos that are being planned to be soon shared and stay tuned. There is more to come. Any enquiries on the tool please feel free to send in your enquiries as usual at info@tenettech.com
Our team has expertise in the following areas and available for hire on your next projects to consult .
- Model based system simulation
- Code generation for Target hardware
- Simulation for Multiphysics.
- MISRA compliance for legacy code leveraging open/low cost tools.
- Help and training on model based tools both commercial/open source offerings.
