Folks,
It is been a great pleasure organizing an “Arduino IoT” training event at RNS Institute of Technology, Bangalore. The event was organized on 14th and 15th of August, 2016, the participants were 3rd semester ECE students. Even though it was holidays, the students were so enthusiastic, around 60 participants were present in this event.
Hearty thanks to RNSIT faculty and management for providing us an opportunity to host this Training in their college.
On the first day, the very first session was presented by our technical expert Mr. Umashankar Shetty with an informative talk on “Internet of Things” to the curious participants. Then the session followed up with the Arduino Microcontroller platform. It was a brief introduction about microcontroller and Arduino platform, its features, hardware and Software.
The second session followed up with the complete hands-on Arduino interfaces. This was presented by our technical expert Mr. Salai Deva. The participants were very attentive and interactive, as the session was carried on with basic input/output interfaces and basics of Electronics.
On the day two, the session continued with the hands-on interfaces like IR-sensor, Temperature sensor, Light sensor, 7 Segment display and so on… The participants were pretty good in rigging the circuits and writing code for all the interfaces.
Later the last session was completely based on Internet of Things. It was presented by Mr. Gurudatta Palankar and Mr. Umashankar Shetty. The session started with the brief introduction of Wi-Fi module, its features, hardware and electrical specifications, command set and so on… The participants were told to read a sensor data and post the same data on to the Internet cloud (www.tooot.in). Finally we concluded the training event by presenting a demo on how to build a Bluetooth controlled robot and controlling the same.
At the end of the day the participants were provided with the certificates. The students were interested to attend many such events in future and we had a pretty good feedback from them.
