Folks,
Embedded systems are playing an important roles in our lives every day, even though they might not necessarily be visible. Some of the embedded systems we use every day control the menu system on television, the timer in a microwave oven, a cellphone, an MP3 player or any other device with some amount of intelligence built-in. Embedded systems are a rapidly growing industry where growth opportunities are numerous.
As planned earlier, the 10 days Embedded Systems training will be spread across 20 sessions each of 2 hours duration… So what all the things will be covered in these 20 sessions? From building simple electronics circuits to making a PCB design and from simple C programming to building a wireless controlled 4 wheeled robot.
The 20 sessions will be spread among the Basics of Electronics, PCB Designing, C-programming language, 8-bit Microcontroller programming, Interfacing Wireless modules and finally building a chassis for wireless controlled robot.
In Basic Electronics we’ll be dealing with building circuits as voltage/current divider circuit, Fixed Regulated Power Supply circuit, Transistor and amplifiers circuits, Timer circuits and so on…
In PCB Designing, getting started with Eagle PCB designing tool and making PCB for a simple electronic circuits.
A Session for C-programming will cover the fundamentals of embedded C programming like basic syntax, data types, storage classes, decision making, loops, functions and so on…
Then the next session will be 8-bit Microcontroller, Open source Arduino platform. Here we’ll get to know Arduino board layout and Atmega chip description, getting started with Arduino IDE to start writing your first program, interfacing digital and analog peripherals/sensors such as LEDs, Pushbutton, LDR, IR sensor, Accelerometer, interfacing DC motor and Servo motor, interfacing 7 segment display, LCD and so on…
In Wireless Communication session, Interfacing Zig bee module and RF module with microcontroller.
Finally, last two sessions will be interfacing Bluetooth module with microcontroller and building the chassis for 4 wheeled wireless controlled robot.
