Introduction:
The FreeSoC2 board is based on the FreeSoC development platform which has PSOC5LP as the heart of the system with unique technology of PSoC (Programmable System on Chip) by Cypress Semiconductor which brings together features of the programmable devices and microcontroller-type systems on chips into one package. By placing a programmable fabric between the peripherals and the pins, the FreeSoC2 allows any function to be routed to any pin! Moreover, the on-board PSoC includes a number of programmable blocks which allow the user to define arbitrary digital and analog circuits for their specific application.
FreeSoC2 will support Arduino IDE but to get most out of the box of PSoC we have to use Cypress Creator IDE software.
Now we look how cool Cypress Creator software is!
- State – of –the art software development design
- Revolutionary graphical design editor
In this application note we will look how to design logic gates with FreeSoC2 microcontroller.
Components used:
Logic gates:
Logic gates provide basic Boolean operations. The output of a logic gate is a boolean combinatorial function of the inputs. There are seven basic logic gates: AND, OR, Inverter,NOT, NAND, NOR, XOR, and XNOR.
