Tenet Varsity team had visited Chenduran College of Engineering and Technology, Tamil Nadu to conduct a workshop on the Arduino micro-controller platform.
The intent of this visit is to have training sessions on Arduino platform for students from Electronics and Communication department. The session spanned across two days and it was well received by the Students as well as the Faculty community. It was great fun to interact with Students, Professors and Researchers.
First day of the session started with introduction about the microcontroller, its classifications and a brief lecture about the Open source platform and its benefits. Thus it enlightened the students thought about the Arduino and its programming and its benefits over other microcontrollers.
Later the session continued with hands-on session experimenting Arduino with basic peripherals like LED’s, buzzer, pushbutton, variable resistor and sensors like temperature sensor, IR sensor, and PIR sensor.
Second day of the session started with hands-on session with advanced sensors like Accelerometer, ultrasonic sensor and controlling AC applications using relay and interfacing DC motor, LCD, RFID reader with the Arduino.
The session continued interfacing GSM module and Bluetooth module with Arduino. After that students were assigned to do mini-projects and they were able to successfully complete their project.
Certificate was provided to students at the end of the workshop.
At the end of the day we closed the session with a good note that we had delivered what we had set out as an objective for the workshop program.
