Ettus Research, a National Instruments company, unveiled the UBX Daughter board. Its wide tuning range makes the UBX ideal for software defined radio applications across all of the most common frequency bands spanning HF, VHF, cellular, radar, and WIFI with the instantaneous bandwidth necessary for monitoring entire bands of interest and prototyping next-generation wireless communication systems.
It is available in two versions:
- UBX 160
- UBX 40
The UBX is a full-duplex, wide-band transceiver covering a frequency range from 10 MHz to 6 GHz with 40 MHz and 160MHz instantaneous bandwidth options. The UBX daughter board works interchangeably with existing USRP devices using the latest version of the open source USRP Hardware Driver (UHD) software.
The UBX delivers the highest RF performance of all direct conversion USRP daughter boards across all frequency bands with the added capability of achieving coherent and phase-aligned operation across multiple channels for MIMO and direction finding applications. It also has machined shield for better isolation and heat sinking.
UBX 160: 160 MHz Bandwidth and compatible with USRP X300/X310.
UBX 40: 40MHz Bandwidth and compatible with USRP N200/N210/X300/X310.
