With the rapid proliferation of communication technologies, Mass media is playing a major role in day today life. Best example for one such Mass media is a Radio.
One of the distinctive characters of radio is its ability to create imagination in audience mind which does not exist in other media. The level of imagination though depends heavily on its audience. It is not only the description and sounds of real and unreal world we hear through the radio.
In this Blog let me implement Frequency Modulation (FM) radio. FM radio is a very elegant system capable of remarkable feats of sound generation. So, this time, I’m going to introduce you to the principles of FM, and show you how to create FM receiver in GNU Radio.
GNU Radio is an open source software tool. With help of blocks in GNU Radio we construct a flow graph for FM receiver. Along with GNU Radio we are using RF hardware (USRP).
With USRP and GNU Radio, FM receiver can be easily implemented and it’s flexible too
