We started building a Robot using DC motors with microcontrollers. But the motor cannot be interfaced directly with microcontroller as we need an L293D Chip in-between the microcontroller and the motors. This L293D chip is a driver IC for driving the motors.
Tenet Motor Driver breakout is a driver breakout board using L293d chip. This is a great breakout board and it is compatible with the Arduino for driving two DC motors.
The Tenet Motor Driver Breakout board allows you to control DC motors / Stepper motors using a microcontroller. It contains two motors output port & a 12V input port. This board needs 3 input lines from microcontroller for each DC motor, one line for enable/disable and the other two lines for set the direction (Clockwise/Anti-clockwise) of motors. The connection between the breakout board and microcontroller can be made using jumper wires.
