As always our developers in house are always looking to have their part of fun by constantly experimenting with the latest and the geeky tools out there in the market. This time around it was surprising to see one of the developers at Tenet see dancing and making some unusual moves in front of his PC , I was curious and dropped in to his workspace to check out what he was upto and found that he was trying to build a intelligent system based on the "Kinect Hardware" .
Yes, you heard it right. He was playing around with the latest "Kinect for Windows" Hardware. Kinect for windows in india is still not available so widely and when asked ,the developer replied that he had ordered one online from the US. It is widely heard that these hardwares would be soon available in India too. Here are some pics of the contents of the box. The Kinect for windows comes along with the KInect Sensor as well as a USB outlet to connect to the PC as well as a power chord that goes onto the main lines.
There are significant differences between the xbox kinect as well as the Kinect for windows hardware and there are more posts coming in future that would detail them.
