Continuing the legacy of the Beagleboard XM the beagleboard.org now has come up with a low cost development tool called the BeagleBone. The BeagleBone is the low-cost, high-expansion hardware-hacker focused BeagleBoard. It is a bare-bones BeagleBoard that acts as a USB or Ethernet connected expansion companion for your current BeagleBoard and BeagleBoard-xM or works stand-alone. The BeagleBone is small even by BeagleBoard standards and with the high-performance ARM capabilities you expect from a BeagleBoard, the BeagleBone brings full-featured Linux to places it has never gone before.
Pre-orders for Beaglebone
The BeagleBones are on a higher demand and also the quantity available for pre-order is also limited and hence we request our customers to soon place an order so that we could deliver it as soon as possible. The boards are expected to ship from the production centres by end of second week of november and we estimate that we would be able to start shipping them by first week of december given the fact that the we have to manage the custom clearance procedure.
You could visit the link here to preorder one in India.
Presented below is a video in which Jason Kridner introduces the BeagleBone in brief. Nevertheless we are waiting for our boards to arrive to make a video in house at Tenet with more details.
