A lot of buzz is around after the announcement from google stating the support for the Accessory development kit released for the Android with the help of which one could go ahead and develop accessories that can be connected through the USB ports of the android phones. Now that throws a lot of opportunity for DIY hobbyists and professional embedded system designers to harness the power of the android and give the embedded systems the power of the cloud access that one could get from the android phones !
Nevertheless the ADK released by google is supported from android 2.3.4 to 3.1 and for android phones/tablets that run 2.1 this is not applicable.
