Model based Design is being widely adopted by various organization in designing off the shelf solutions day to day . One of the key areas where the adoption is found majorly is the auto sector . Now that use of embedded systems being exponentially increasing, there are a lot companies investigating the use of the model based design approach to build embedded systems.There are a lot of tools that enable Model based design , but nevertheless tools like Simulink, Labview have been the clear leaders in this bussiness.
Arm architectures are one of the most widely used architecture in the embedded world and cover a wide spectrum of application areas ranging from physical computing systems to defence, mobile, networking ..etc .
Advantages of Model based design are undoubtedly the :
- Shorter Development Time
- Simulation and continous validation in all phases of the design flow …etc
Now having said this , a combination of these two hardware and software technologies would be great thing to have !
We recently came accross a company Aimagin Inc that has achieved this ! This company is pretty new but with a great tool in hand that really provides Rapid prototyping support for the ARM Cortex family of processors !
