Twister – FPGA Board: “Tenet is Currently developing a Commercial of the Shelf FPGA board ! This Board is designed keeping in mind the open-source community developers. The initial version will carry a Altera Cyclone III FPGA and would be populated with resources like the SRAM, SDRAM ..etc which would also allow NiosII Processor to be ported onto these boards. The Initial design of the boards are almost complete and they are expected to be released by the end of Feb 2010.

I could not resist to wait for the fab to deliver us with the PCB and shown below is how the twister looks.
Finally found time to get the testing done and here is the final? product .
The board is implanted with? Altera CycloneIII FPGA and mentioned below are the features that are present on board :

1 UART over USB .
64MB SDRAM
8MB FLASH
Active serial as well as passive serial configuration
16?2 character LCD .
Octal connectors to support custom board development .
40 GPIOs arranged compatible with the Altera DE1
4 User programmable Switches
4 LEDs
USB Programming as well as Signal Tap II logic analyzer tested using Altera USB blaster !
